Dr. Naresh Trehan, Executive Director, Escorts Heart Institute and Research Center
Dr. Naresh Trehan is best known as Founder, Executive Director and Chief Cardiovascular Surgeon of the Escorts Heart Institute and Research Center. EHIRC is widely respected and recognized as one of the largest heart institutes in the world. He trained at the New York University Medical Center. Dr. Trehan been conferred with a number of distinguished and prestigious honours and awards including:
- President of the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery, USA, 2004-05.
- Honorary Fellow Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Australia in 2000.
- Padma Bhushan Award by the Government of India in recognition of his distinguished service in the field of Medicine in 2001.
- Padam Shri Award by the Government of India in recognition of distinguished service in the field of Surgery.
- Personal Surgeon to the President of India Since 1991.
On the business front Dr. Trehan runs his Institute at a high level of economic proficiency and attends on the board of several high profile corporations.
Naveen Trehan, CEO, Globerian
Mr. Trehan is a veteran of the medical billing industry with over 20 years of experience. After graduating from The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, Naveen spent nine years in public accounting at Price Waterhouse and fifteen years building MD Revenues, a successful medical billing company in the United States. Naveen, who is originally from India, appreciates the needs of U.S. firms while understanding how best to do business in India. Naveen is committed to hiring only the most qualified people from India's highly skilled labor pool to ensure the best performance at the lowest cost.
Amy Rees Lewis, Director, Globerian
In 1996, Amy Rees Lewis founded a medical software company which she began with $23,000 in seed capital and went on to raise over $12 million of venture capital in order to develop the nation’s first 100% web-based medical practice management system for physician offices. In 2001, Amy founded IPOP, LLC, which stands for "In Pursuit of Perfection", a Public Speaking and Entrepreneurial Consulting company dedicated to working with entrepreneurs launching new businesses as well as large companies launching new divisions. Amy teaches entrepreneurial classes for several College Universities, and is a respected speaker on the entrepreneur circuit. Amy currently serves on the Boards of Globerian, Inc., Mediconnect.net, Inc., Brigham Young Universities E-Business School, UVSC Business School, and the state of Utah Economic Development Board. Amy is actively involved in helping Governor Jon Huntsman, Jr.’s initiatives for the state of Utah. Amy has also worked with Secretary Mike Leavitt, former Governor of Utah, and current director of Health and Human Services for the U.S. Government. Amy has received numerous awards including the “Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award” from the Small Business Administration. She has been featured in such publications as the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Fast Company, Business Week, and many other national publications for her numerous accomplishments.
Martin Frey, Cisco Systems
Martin recently retired from Cisco Systems where he oversaw client relations for Cisco's largest 50 customers internationally.
