Three
Enhancements that Improve the MediConnect
Experience |
|
Below
are recent enhancements that will improve your experience with
MediConnect:
The Right Authorization. MediConnect's system
now tracks special authorization requirements of thousands
of medical providers. This means you will be notified if
the facility requires an origianl signature or their own special
authorization and then MediConnect can send you the required
authorization electronically so you don't have to wait to receive it
from the facility. This can reduce retrieval time by 1 to 3
days.
Database Upgrades for Speed. We've added a new
server and the latest upgrade to the Oracle database. This
means our internal applications are
faster allowing MediConnect employees to be more
productive and speed up response times.
Copy Service Integrations. MediConnect has
established relationships with copy services all over the U.S.
Recently, we've created FTP transfer arrangements and bi-directional
integrations with some of the top copy services. These integrations
can decrease the turn-around-time by an average of 3 days for
requests coming from these copy services. In addition, we also
leverage those who accept credit cards or blank
checks whenever possible. These advancements allow instant transfer
of records, as well as more detail in our real-time status
notes.

Csengeri Law Uses MediConnect
to Help Drive Personal Passion
 Three
years ago Stephen Csengeri was diagnosed with avascular necrosis in
his hips. He selected Dr. Dorr, world-renowned surgeon, to
operate, but the results were not what he and his doctor had
expected. He had a constant limp, pain and no endurance. After
further research from his doctor, they concluded the Zimmer
Durom cup, used in the surgery, was causing the problems. They
also learned Steve was not the only person who had experienced
problems. After a second surgery to replace the defective
device he started to recover.
Steve made the first claim against Zimmer and settled prior to
anyone else even making a claim. He has now dedicated his
practice to helping others who also experienced the
defective Zimmer Durom device (Zimmer removed the device from
the market for two weeks the day his claim was settled).
Now Csengeri Law depends on MediConnect to retrieve medical
records that are absolutely essential to its cases. They used
another vendor previously, but found service went downhill quickly
when their representative left the company. A law firm in
Florida referred Csengeri Law to MediConnect and they
have been very satisfied with the service.
 "Customer
service has been the reason I have stayed with MediConnect," said
Steve Csengeri, sole proprietor, Csengeri Law. "Dan Rutherford,
our Client Relations Manager, is
wonderful. He takes care of issues, even after
hours if needed, and MediConnect is always willing to try new
things to get the records by my deadline."
Steve continued, "Turnaround time is significantly better
than our previous vendor. The MediConnect system also allows me
to save information directly into the client file and easily check
the status of each medical record. These features have saved me
a lot of time, and as they say in this business, 'Time is
money'."
Csengeri Law has helped clients across the entire US in Zimmer
Durom cup claims. Thus, it is valuable that MediConnect has the
largest database of providers in the US and
maintains a relationship with these
providers.

"Hot Topic"?
 As
a leader in medical record retrieval, MediConnect is launching a new
interactive discussion forum on today's hottest topics in the health
industry. You can join the discussion now by clicking on the link
below. Our current Hot Topic:
President Obama has mandated that all health records be
standardized and electronic by 2014 to help raise the quality of
care and reduce the cost. Online forums are filled with
comments from people that are justifiably concerned about the
security of digital records.
Digital records require a unique set of security checks
and balances. For over 13 years, MediConnect has utilized security procedures and proprietary workflow
technology that ensures digital medical records are safe and
secure.
